PAUL BUCCELLATO & MATAWAN....PERFECT TOGETHER!

PAUL BUCCELLATO! Congratulations! Let's see the Borough Council move forward and get Matawan back on track. We can all work together and move forward with a responsible approach to the Transit Village and give us some tax relief.

"Paul Buccellato & Matawan...Perfect Together"

Couldn't have said it better. The town deserves exactly what it got..and what it's going to get.

Oh and Aufseeser would have done so much better! Has not said a word in 2 years. Whats the problem? Now there will be a voice other then the Mullaney Foundation (Cannon, Bunyon, Malley and Mendes). Lets see if the members can think independently and act on what is good for the Borough of Matawan and not what is good for the Democratic members of the council. Although it sounds like a shift to me. Bunyon will last a year and be gone when the voters have a voice again. I also feel Mr. Malley is just not interested anymore and will not run again. Good Luck to Paul!

You know, Gumby could have been on the ballot and that still would've been a better choice than Aufseeser.

Truth in Matawan I was expecting a far more pithy response from you. I guess you're speechless for once... That can be a good thing!

Well now that you all have gotten it out of your system, perhaps we can contribute to the Borough. If you are asked to volunteer to work on a Committee or a Citizens' Group to assist the Council, please accept. We believe Mayor elect Buccellato will work with residents to get Matawan moving.

Time will tell.

Hey anonymous, how about grabbing a dictionary? Pithy means brief and to the point--our post was nothing if not that!

Further, what more needs to be said? My own blog speaks for itself, no need to clutter up MA's pages with all that. Our opinions are firmly on the record over there.

As we said earlier--the town got what it wanted. It remains to be seen whether or not it will get what it deserves as well.

For all of our sakes, I just hope the mayor and council can get along so that the town can move forward. Redeveloping the Train Station, Revitalizing Main Street, and reigning in the reckless and dangerous school board should be the priorities.

Since the town only gave the Dems 2 years this time around to fix 30 years worth of damage, Paul better hurry and get stuff done, or the fickle voters might change their mind again and vote all Democratic in November if he hasn't magically fixed everything by then!

Good luck to all!

Truth in Matawan, We allowed your rebuttal to Anonymous to be fair. However, the election is over and the voters have spoken. Democrat or Republican, it is of no interest to the residents of Matawan. We believe the Council interests should focus on Matawan. The time for political games is over.

We reiterate our position of moving forward. We shall continue to attend Borough Council meetings and blogging our comments.

Do the committee's get shaken up or do they have to stay the same as the outgoing mayor set them. Wonder who gets the unwanted Train, Education, Library committee?

The Committees stay the same. Though Ms. Aufseeser led us to believe she would make only necessary appointments, she went ahead and made all the appointments excluding the Zoning & Planning Board. Mayor-elect Buccellato will appoint the Z & P Board. Until the new Mayor is sworn in the Borough Council President, Councilman Mike Cannon heads up the Council.
Although strategically a good political move on the part of the Democrats, it does not serve in the best interest of Matawan and the voters who voted for Buccellato and progress.

The Democrats are still the majority for now. November there could be a change. Let's be optimistic and see if the Democratic majority are going to work with Mayor elect Buccellato and in the best interest of Matawan or will they continue with their vendetta.

For the record Mary Aufseeser is no longer the Mayor of Matawan and hasn't been since the votes were certified!

How are the committee assignments not in the best interest of Matawan?

matawan advocate said...

By making appointments, she misled us all. By doing this she limited the Planning & Zoning Board appointees.

matawan advocate said...

In addition the elected Mayor should be the one to make appointments. Afterall, Aufseeser lost the election. Why should she appoint Committees when she was voted out of office by the voters of Matawan?
