I recentley heard about this blog and I took the time to read most of the past and mostly present comments posted here...my conclusion is that there is a small number of people in this town who like to comment on each others comments with half made of truths...give me a break...and please people...do get get a life and walk the walk for once in your whining lives!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5724973191119044246.post-82741485918125948392007-12-04T19:36:00.000-05:002007-12-04T19:36:00.000-05:00Two questions all Matawan residents (indeed, all M...Two questions all Matawan residents (indeed, all Monmouth County residents) should be asking:

1)WHY was the county contract structured as an RFP and not a bid if not to put the Board of Chosen Freeholders in a position where they would be able to award it to their political lackey, Mr. Buccellato, et al?

2)Granting that an RFP is not legally BOUND to give it to the lowest bidder, the way an open bid process would have been, WHY is it that the Board of Chosen Freeholders nonetheless exercised ZERO fiscal restraint in awarding the contract to the HIGHEST bidder--that is, do they have NO respect for the hard-earned dollars of their Monmouth County constituency, or rather do they just take us all to be morons who wouldn't notice them pissing our money away to a political contributor and fellow Republican elected official?

P.S. Here's a bonus comment--Councilman Buccellato was quoted in the paper as saying his firm specializes in roofs that don't let water in. I guess the other 4 (lower-bidding) firms don't have that same level of specialization, and only deal with roofs that do let water in! No wonder not one of them got the bid!Truth In Matawanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09075450096978782673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5724973191119044246.post-50682189487874022922007-12-04T19:24:00.000-05:002007-12-04T19:24:00.000-05:00Who is "they" Jesse?
